is connected to mainland Thailand by bridge. Phuket was one of the
trading routes of China and India bit now derives most of its income
from tourism. The white sandy beaches of Phuket have been heavily
developed into tourist centers and the most popular are Karon, kata,
and Patong. The island was hit by a tsunami in 2004 but all the
buildings and attractions that were destroyed are now fully

Phuket Fantasea Show – It is like Las Vegas in Phuket. This fantasy
show is a must see for the whole family. The show features trapeze
artists, elephants, pyrotechnics and much more. It combines Thai

Viewpoints in Phuket – If you want to see the magnificent sunrise
and sunsets of Phuket, you should go to at least one of Phuket’s
viewpoints. There are many viewpoints looking out to the east and
the west of Phuket where you will see fabulous views of the ocean
stretching as far as Phi Phi Island.
